Zumba Fitness & More
The Arnold Sports Festival wants you to get active in 2013.
For the second straight year, the Zumba Fitness & More room at the Arnold Sports Festival will allow participants to get their workout in by offering a daylong series of classes that include Zumba Gold, Zumba Sentao, Total Body Tabata, PILOXING and LaBlast. All workouts are presented by The Studio Fitness.
Fitness & More will be held Friday, March 1 at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Each class will last 50 minutes. Participants will need a towel and water. Pilates participants should also bring a mat. All participants should dress for an active workout. All fitness levels are welcome.
Louis Van Amstel of the hit TV show "Dancing With The Stars" will teach a LaBlast class at 1 p.m.
Admission to the Zumba Fitness & More are and unlimited classes is included in a Daily EXPO ticket ($10 in advance, $15 at the door).

Zumba® Gold is designed for the active older adult population or the true beginner (deconditioned participant). It addresses the anatomical, physiological and psychological needs specific to these populations. This class IS good for all ages and for those looking for a less intense (lighter) workout than a regular Zumba® class...and it is just as FUN! The Zumba® Gold Chair class is the same concept, but the participants sit in a chair while exercising.
POWER Ballet is a class that uses a variety and series of ballet and resistance conditioning exercises that help strengthen and stretch target areas such as arms, gluteals, legs, general core and specific abdominals. This is a barefoot training workout that incorporates traditional ballet conditioning with Pilates exercises, allowing your body to transform by using a variety of components such as balancing techniques, standing and floor exercises, and stretching movements. While the foundation of this class is based in ballet it is easy for someone with no previous training to pick up and enjoy. Special attention is paid to proper body mechanics to keep our bodies working at their best!
The Zumba Sentao™ workout takes the thrill of the fitness-party and partners it with explosive, chair-based choreography to strengthen, balance and stabilize your core, and step up your cardio work in a whole new way. Grab a chair, feel the beat and learn how to use your own body weight to enhance muscle strength, improve definition and endurance, and tone your physique. Strut, shake and shimmy as you work your core (and work the chair) in a high-energy fitness-party that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
Total Body Tabata
Tabata is a form of high intensity interval training. It is a method that is much more beneficial than regular moderate intensity training (jogging, biking, skipping, and so forth) and much more fun. Like many other exercises and forms of workouts, you must be committed and determined to put forth all your energy in the exercise. The Tabata Training Method is an advanced form of exercise and it requires you to be fit as well as mentally strong. The method is designed so that it lasts 4 minutes long, however within those 4 minutes you have to go through 8 intervals. Each lasting 20 seconds at a very high intensity. This class will push your muscles to the limit with cardio intervals in between.

LaBlast is an innovative partner-free dance fitness program created by world renowned dancer, coach, choreographer, Dancing with the Stars fan favorite and fitness expert, Louis Van Amstel. LaBlast is a dance based fitness workout that incorporates elements from several types of dance, including: Cha Cha Cha, Disco, Jive, Lindy Hop, Merengue, Paso Doble, Quick Step, Salsa. Samba.
