ELIGIBILITY
All teens! Must have proof of age. The Teen Challenge is based on each individual’s strength and overall physical condition. Most events are based on athlete’s individual body weight. Each teen will compete at their personal level on the following or similar events (all events subject to change):

The GNC RAW – Powertech Bench Press
Each teen has one minute to do as many complete bench presses as possible. Amount of weight on the bench will be calculated based on 70% (*give or take within 5 lb increments) of the teen’s body weight. Each teen’s count will be totaled toward their score.

Pull-Up
Each athlete has one minute to complete as many pull-ups as possible using his or her own body weight. Competitors can use either underhand or overhand grip or a combination of the two. They can start and stop as many times as needed but have one minute to do any many pull-ups as possible. A complete pull-up is when the competitor’s chin is lifted above the bar on the upward movement and the entire head is below the bar on the downward movement. Only complete pull-ups will count toward the competitor’s score.

Tire Flip Relay Competition
Each teen will have to precisely flip a 120lb truck tire up and back 4 times down a 30ft course. Each teen’s time will be calculated towards their total score.

Cross-Training Circuit
Each teen will do a three exercise circuit containing strength, agility & cardio elements. Teen will start out doing a 200 meter Row. Upon completion they will run to the next station to do 40 complete box jumps. Finally, they will run to the last station to do 30 Tricep Dips. Each teen’s total time will be calculated towards their total score. If any teen is unable to complete any section they will incur a time deduction.

Team Competition

Sunday, March 3, 2013
ULTIMATE TEEN CHALLENGE TEAM COMPETITION, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Open Registration, 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m.
PIZZA & PROTEIN LUNCH for all participants immediately following events during calculation of final scores.
Awards ceremony, approximately 1:30 p.m.

Quad Push
When the whistle blows one team member will jump into the 4-wheeler quad and their partner will push the quad down the course. When both wheels cross the line both members will turn the quad together, switch places and push the Quad back down the course. Each team’s time will be calculated towards their total score.

Tire Stack Relay
Teens will have to move 12 car tires from one end of a course to the other end. First teammate will pick up tires from stack and move them down course (no rolling). At opposite end they will have to properly stack tires in two stacks of 6 without the stacks falling over. When all 12 tires have been moved and stacked at the opposite end of the course his or her teammate will run them back down and re-stack them in 2 tiers of 6 without letting the stacks fall. Each team’s time will be calculated towards their total score.

Weighted Sled Pull
Weights will be added to Sled and Rope Based on combined body weight of teammates. When whistle blows the first team member will pull rope until weighted sled passes designated line. He will then run the rope down to his teammate and teammate will pull the weighted sled back under his own power until it passes finish line. Each team’s time will be calculated towards their total score.

Shuttle Run
Each athlete will sprint back and forth 4 times across a distance of 30 yards, transferring a runner’s baton between two marked squares. The first competitor will receive a baton, run and place it in the distant square, run back to the start and touch the starting box, then return to the distant box and pick up the runner’s baton, run back and transfer it to the next team member standing in the starting box. The first baton must remain in the square. If a baton roles out of the square, 1 second will be added to the runner’s time. When both team members have completed the course, their total time will be calculated towards their total score.
