The Cow Town Showdown

When: Saturday, March 6th and Sunday, March 7th, beginning at 9 a.m. each day

Who: Professional skateboarders from around the world, the biggest skate shops in the Midwest, the newest faces in Beginners and Advanced categories, and some of the largest companies in skateboarding participating in the Midwest's newest trade show.

Where: Veterans Memorial

What: A winner-take-all top shop contest. Four riders from each shop will battle it out on the Cow Town street course for all of the glory. Beginners and Advanced will also compete in contests for prizes in places first through third. An interactive Shop and Merchant trade show will flow throughout Veterans Memorial as fans of skateboarding from all around the country will get first peek at the newest trends and products in skateboarding.

Cow Town Showdown expects 20 to 30 shops and no less than 100 to 200 beginner and advanced participants to participate in this two-day event. Saturday evening, Blueprint Skateboards will host a demonstration showcasing some of the top professional and amateur skaters in the world. Hundreds of fans from around the country will come to Veterans Memorial to witness skateboarding at its brightest and finest moment.

Schedule of Events:

SATURDAY, March 6
9-11 a.m.: Registration for Beginner's contest
9-10 a.m.: Open Skate
10:30-11:30 a.m.: Beginner warm-up
11:30 a.m.: Beginner contest
2:30-3:30 p.m.: Advanced warm-ups
3:30 p.m.: Advanced contest
6 p.m.: Blueprint Skateboards professional demonstration

SUNDAY, March 7
9-11 a.m.: Registration for Top of the Shops contest
9-10 a.m.: Open Skate
10-11 a.m.: Top of the Shops warm-up
11 a.m.: Top of the Shops contest
