Arnold Jump Rope Fitness Competition
Jumping rope isn’t just for kids and boxers. It provides an overall workout with many benefits. A competition and demonstrations for jump ropers will be Saturday March 2 in the Hyatt Regency, near where the Hyatt connects to the Greater Columbus Convention Center…at the top of the escalators at the Arnold Sports Festival.
The Arnold Jump Rope Fitness Competition, hosted by World Jump Rope (WJR), will be Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. An additional demonstration will take place on the EXPO stage on Sunday.
See amazing speed jumpers. The world female record of 984 revolutions in three minutes is held by a student from The Ohio State University, Tori Boggs, who will be attending.
Jumping rope can benefit agility, coordination and endurance in addition to weight loss, and toning the cardiovascular system (heart health). “The beauty of jumping rope is that it is inexpensive, you need minimum equipment and space to work out,” said Shaun Hamilton, chairman of World Jump Rope and the Arnold Jump Rope Fitness Competition. “And it’s fun.”
