2012 ARNOLD GYMNASTICS CHALLENGE RESULTS
The 12th Arnold Gymnastics Challenge March 2-4 will welcome more than 4,000 competitors from across the country.
This largest mixed gymnastics meet in the nation will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center as part of the Arnold Sports Festival, the largest multi-sport event in the world. Power tumbling and trampoline, both Olympic events, will be added for the first time this year.
"The overall exciting atmosphere inspires the athletes who perform to an appreciative audience," said Tim Willson, who chairs the Arnold Gynastics Challenge. "Plus, seeing demonstrations by gymnastics heroes and a visit by Arnold Schwarzenegger is very inspiring."
The opening ceremonies at noon on Saturday, March 3 will feature the Russian Bar Trio and USA Olympic team members.
Boys and girls compulsory and optionsal competitions will be held Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3, with event finals on Sunday, March 4.
The Columbus Rotary and the Arnold Sports Festival will present $2,000 college scholarships to a top femal and male competitor.
