Arnold Grappling Jiu-Jitsu Challenge |
|
The 2010 Arnold Grappling/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Challenge will be under the direction of Martial Arts Director Team Tokey Hill in partnership with martial arts organization OTM. World recognized grappling master Frank Shamrock has been invited to attend and receive the 2010 Martial Arts Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Arnold Grappling/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Challenge will feature thousands of youth/adult competitors in gi and no gi contests.
OTM is the acronym for On The Mat, which is exactly where they started; on the mat, training every day, with a passion for the sport. OnTheMat.com was launched in 1996, and is one of the oldest and most respected MMA/submission arts web sites in the world. The web site started as an online resource for athletes worldwide, and became famous for its detailed news reports and guides to training with the largest online video library in the sport.
During that time there were not many tournaments in which one could compete. OTM decided to start their own. At first, most of the competitions were organized and scheduled to stay sharp between world championship events. The tournaments have grown over the years. OTM currently hosts the World Grappling Games Tournament Circuit with up to eight major events a year, some of which are associated with the biggest names in the sport.
