Arnold Classic Prejudging
The 22nd Annual Arnold Classic, the most prestigious event for male bodybuilding in the world, consists of two parts, prejudging and finals. The prejudging event is the only time in the competition that all of the competitors will be seen on stage at the same time. The field of 10-15 competitors will be evaluated by a panel of expert International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) judges to determine who will advance to the finals.
Prejudging allows the judges to compare the athletes in groups of three in eight classic poses; front double biceps; front lat spread; side chest; back double biceps; back lat spread; side triceps and abdominals and thighs; and most muscular. It’s the judge’s job to decide which competitor has the most superior physique from the standpoint of muscular bulk, balanced development, muscular density and definition.
Although this is a very structured competition, that doesn't mean the crowd and competitors are more reserved. Those in attendance routinely express great emotion throughout the competition.
The Arnold Classic prejudging takes place on the historic Veterans Memorial stage at noon on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Tickets are $50 each for reserved seating.
Arnold Classic Finals
Hopefully you watched the Arnold Classic prejudging and made a decision about your favorite IFBB Men's bodybuilder. Now is your chance to see if your picks hold up next to the judges.
During the finals the scores from prejudging are thrown out and the top competitors have to start from zero. The finals include two rounds starting with a non-judged individual posing routine set to music, side by side comparisons in the eight classic poses and the highly energetic pose down.
The Arnold Classic prides itself on putting on a great show. During the short intermissions between rounds you’ll be treated to the Arnold Strongman final competition and awards as well as a unique display of physical prowess from a Las Vegas act. You'll also get to meet the Arnold Amateur winners and hear from the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
The finals of the Arnold Classic takes place on the historic Veterans Memorial stage at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Tickets are $50 and $100 for reserved seating.
