The Weight Training Prescription Course is designed to help health professionals effectively work with clients in all forms of resistance training. Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Biomechanics are addressed as well as Anthropometry applied to weight training.
Emphasis in the course is on the use of latest scientific knowledge to enhance the ability to prescribe weight training exercises for maximum efficiency and safety.
Topics covered in the Weight Training Prescription Specialist Course include:
● Basic Laws of Weight Training
● Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Biomechanics Applied to Exercise Prescription
● The roles of Anthropometrics on Program Design
● Psychological aspects of the Exercise Prescription
● Kinesiology and Biomechanics analysis of the main weight training exercises
The course will be taught by International Federation of Body Building president Rafael Santonja and Prof. Mauricio de Arruda
The course will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 6 and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 6 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center during the Arnold Sports Festival.
