Ashley Hill

Ashley Hill, 20, of Chillicothe, is currently ranked the #1 Karate competitor in the USA and was most recently named the 2009 National Karate Champion in Fort Lauderdale. She is a six year member of the United States Karate team, placed 1^st at the Karate US Open and placed 5^th at the World Championships in 2008. The 21-year-old has not only mastered Karate, but Tae Kwon Do and Boxing as well. She is trained by a team of professionals including her father, Tokey Hill – the 1980 WUKO/WKF World champion and the United States National Karate coach.  

In addition to her studies and training, Ashley recently signed with Wilhelmina Models as part of their newest talent division – W FITNESS. You will soon see the athlete in a national network commercial for POWERADE and if all goes as planned, you will be cheering for her while she competes in London as a member of the 2012 United States summer Olympic team.

Ashley is a sophmore at Ohio University – Chillicothe Branch. Ashley trains daily with her father, Tokey Hill, former World Karate Champion and a United States National Coach. In addition to other professionals, she also trains with strength and conditioning coaches, Dr. Joseph Spaulding and Dr. Brandy Spaulding of Spaulding Chiropractic, a state of the art chiropractic facility located downtown Chillicothe. Ashley frequently travels for additional training to Tokey Hill Martial Arts, located in Roslyn, New York, main headquarters of all of her father’s operations.

According to her father, “Ashley has been in training her whole life and is talented. She has all the resources in Chillicothe to take her to an elite level of wining competitions such as this.” The United States Olympic Committee has recently taken over management of the United States National Karate – Do Federation and with their involvement it seems that karate has a shot at the 2012 Olympic Games in London England.
